DVD on Avian Influenza
Date: September 07, 2006
Dear American citizens in Rangoon,
I recently arrived this summer in Rangoon as the new Consul of the American Embassy’s Consular section. If you are resident in Burma, I’ll look forward to meeting you sometime down the road. If you participate in the in-country warden system, I would appreciate you passing on the following information.
As you are likely aware, avian influenza is an issue that deserves our attention. The Department of State’s Office of Medical Services has delivered DVDs, entitled “Being Prepared for Pandemic Influenza,” and pamphlets, entitled “Being Prepared for Avian Influenza,” to the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, Burma. If you would like a free copy of the DVD, please come in to the U.S. Embassy’s Consular section any working day from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., located at 581 Merchant Street, Rangoon, Burma. The pamphlet is only available as an attachment below. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 95-1-250-240 or ConsularRangoo@state.gov.
