Interview Date Expedite Policy

To request an expedited interview appointment, please call the Consular section at (95)(1) 536-509 or send an email with the details of your emergency to consularrangoon@state.gov.

Applicants who would like to request an expedited appointment should contact the Consular Section directly. By doing so, they will be placed on a stand-by list. If and when a cancellation of any appointment occurs, the person at the top of the stand-by waiting list will be given the freed-up slot of the earlier, now available date. Then the Consular Section will notify the applicant of the change. The applicant should make known whether the change is satisfactory. If not, he or she will remain on this stand-by waiting list.
