Immigrant Visas

Diversity Visa

The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, or DV program, makes available application for permanent resident visas to DV entrants who are randomly selected. If selected, a DV entrant earns the right to apply for a Diversity Visa to the United States to live and work there as a permanent resident.

To learn more about the DV program, including instructions on how to participate, click here.

Note that being selected by the DV program does not guarantee that you will get an immigrant visa. It does, though, give you the opportunity to apply for the immigrant visa. All normal requirements for immigrants, including additional ones for DV applicants, must be met to qualify for the visa.
